Where to get pizza in Lakeland: downtown, Florida Avenue and U.S. 98

Lakeland’s pizza is spread along its main roads: South Florida Avenue from downtown south past Lake Miriam, U.S. Highway 98 North around Lakeland Square Mall, Lakeside Village and East Edgewood Drive. Downtown has a slice shop on South Kentucky Avenue and a pizza counter in The Joinery food hall on Lake Mirror.

How we made this list. We started with OpenStreetMap records inside Lakeland’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, and added pizza places from the state’s restaurant inspection records and from the chains’ own store pages, keeping only addresses inside the limits. We checked each place against its own website on Oct. 10, 2026. Two places with no website are here because the state inspected them in August or October 2026. The list is alphabetical. Ciao Bella Pizza & Pasta on North Socrum Loop Road has no website of its own. The state’s restaurant inspection records list it at this address, last inspected in October 2026.

Domino’s has four stores inside the city limits, on Ariana Street, South Bartow Road, U.S. Highway 98 North and County Line Road, each with its own page for delivery and carryout.

Folds Pizza is the newest of the counters in The Joinery, the food hall on the banks of Lake Mirror, which lists it among its vendors as now open. Orders go through the food hall’s site.

Il Forno Restaurant and Pizzeria describes its cooking as authentic regional Italian instead of generic Italian food. It has two Lakeland restaurants, the original Southside location on South Florida Avenue and a newer Northside location on North Socrum Loop Road, and it caters weddings.

J. Burns’ Pizza Shop on East Edgewood Drive has made thin, square-cut pizza in Polk County since 1965 and offers gluten-free crusts. A second Lakeland shop is at 5615 S. Florida Ave. in Maryoma Plaza, south of the area we checked.

Jet’s Pizza has two Lakeland stores, on South Florida Avenue near Carleton and on U.S. Highway 98 North. Its menu adds calzone-style Deli Boats, Turbo Stix, salads, wings and boneless chicken to the pizzas.

Mellow Mushroom on Lakeland Highlands Road is the pizza chain’s Lakeland restaurant. Its location page lists a patio, delivery, a weekday happy hour and a Tuesday kids night.

MJ’s Pizza & Wings on East Edgewood Drive has no website of its own. The state’s restaurant inspection records list it at this address, last inspected in August 2026.

Palace Pizza Downtown on South Kentucky Avenue is a family business that says it uses fresh dough and whole-milk mozzarella. Its menu lists pizza by the pie and by the slice, gourmet pizzas, flatbreads, calzones, strombolis and pasta, and it runs a food truck and catering.

Papa Johns on Harden Boulevard is a delivery and carryout store.

Pizza Hut on U.S. Highway 98 South offers carryout, curbside pickup and delivery, with wings, pastas and desserts alongside its pizzas.

Pizzeria Valdiano in Lakeside Village serves authentic Italian pizza, its site says, with pickup and delivery. Its other two restaurants are in Winter Park and at Waterford Lakes in the Orlando area.
