Easter 2027 is Sunday, March 28, a week earlier in the calendar than 2026’s April 5. It comes one week after Polk County’s spring break, and Good Friday, March 26, is a no-school day for students. Lakeland’s egg hunts are mostly church events on the Saturday before Easter, which in 2027 is March 27.

In 2026 Lakeland Square Mall, 3800 U.S. Highway 98 North, had Easter Bunny photos from March 20 to April 4 with online reservations and walk-ups, and Bass Pro Shops offered free photos with online reservations on weekends in late March and early April, the Lakeland Mom roundup showed.

What is open and closed
- Easter Sunday is not a City of Lakeland holiday, and trash pickup does not change.
- The Florida Children’s Museum closed on Easter Sunday in 2026.
- Bonnet Springs Park says it is open 365 days a year.
- Hollis Garden does not allow Easter egg hunts, the city’s garden rules say, so plan family hunts for a park instead; see parks and trails.
